Mere allegations of counsel negligence do not constitute sufficient cause - Continued non-appearance of counsel across several dates - Engagement of counsel does not absolve a litigant from obligation to monitor and pursue proceedings - Where counsel is negligent or irresponsible, litigant bears the consequences, not the opposing party - A power of attorney executed abroad must be attested by a Pakistani Consulate/High Commission to be legally effective - Unattested foreign power of attorney cannot confer authority to initiate proceedings.
