40 kg Bhang/Hemp recovered from the applicant???s exclusive possession, duly confirmed by the Chemical Examiner. Bhang falls within the statutory definition of cannabis (hemp) under Section 2(d) of the 2024 Act. The recovery from the vehicle under the applicant???s control establishes a prima facie nexus with the contraband. No material of false implication or mala fide has been shown; hence, further inquiry under Section 497(2), Cr.P.C. is not attracted.
