Legal Practitioners and Bar Councils Act (XXXV of 1973)--- ----S. 45---Misconduct---Legal ethic and etiquettes---Hindrance in court work---During pendency of proceedings, counsel for defendant caused hindrance in work of dispensation of justice by Court---Counsel of defendant wilfully attempted to unlawfully undermine the order of Court for appointment of Commissioner for recording of evidence---Though it was case of contempt of Court in the face of Court but Court preferred to leave it at the discretion of lawyers' body, which claimed to be the custodian, protector of lawyers' rights and responsibilities---Lawyers behavior had been several times reported in electronic media and all such news items had adversely affected the name and respect earned by the institution of lawyers in recent past---High Court found it high time that conduct of lawyers be carefully checked by Sindh Bar Council and other associations responsible for maintaining dignity of profession---High Court found the conduct of counsel for defendant as insulting and humiliating and referred the matter to Sindh Bar Council for appropriate action.Full judgment text for this case is not yet available on Pakistan Law Reports.
