150/2024 Criminal Appeal NOOR ALAM S/O ALTAF HUSSAIN (Appellant) V/S ABDUL AZIZUR REHMAN & ANOTHER (Respondent) Sindh High Court Bench: Hon'ble Mr. Justice Adnan-ul-Karim Memon(Author) Order Date: 03-JUL-24 Primarily, the Illegal Dispossession Act, of 2005 was introduced to curb the activities of Qabza groups/property grabbers and land mafia. During arguments, it has been conceded by respondent No.1 that no material is available with him to establish that the appellant belonged to any Qabza group or land mafia or that he had the credentials or antecedents of being property grabbers. However, he states that his official accommodation has now been handed over to him in compliance with the court order. At this stage, the appellant states that he has paid an advance amount to the private respondent No.1, Which he is avoiding returning and has managed such drama, this aspect of the case is to be looked into by the competent court of law having jurisdiction if approached by the party.
