With the above observations, the petition stands disposed of with no order as to costs with direction to the competent authority of respondents to reconsider the case of promotion of the petitioner in BPS-20, within three months, in the light of dicta laid down by the Supreme Court in the case of Federation of Pakistan v. Dr. Muhammad Arif, 2017 SCMR 969; and, his earlier supersession as recorded hereinabove will not come in his way, while considering his case for promotion in next rank with his batchmates, provided he is still in NAB service.
