Muhammad Wassay Tareen V. Government of Balochistan through Chief Secretary, Civil Secretariat, Quetta and others,
PLJ 2022 Quetta 144 (DB) · Balochistan High Court
This case involved Muhammad Wassay Tareen, who served as Provincial Ombudsman (Mohtasib) of Balochistan. When he was appointed in 2013, his terms of service were fixed by the Governor and did not include a "Superior Judicial Allowance," a benefit normally given to judges. He challenged this in court multiple times. In an earlier petition, the High Court had ruled against him, holding that an Ombudsman is not a judicial officer and that fixing service terms was entirely the Governor's discretion, so denying the allowance was not discriminatory since even sitting Ombudsmen did not receive it.

تاہم بعد ازاں بلوچستان کے ایک نئے گورنر نے حکم جاری کیا جس کے تحت انہیں سپیریئر جوڈیشل الاؤنس دینے کی منظوری دی گئی۔ صوبائی حکوم
