Landlord cannot be deprived of his right

PLJ 2012 · Islamabad High Court

Nadeem Asghar, a tenant, rented commercial space on the first floor of a building in F-7 Markaz, Islamabad from Dr. Sheikh Siraj-ul-Haque and two others under a lease that allowed a 25% rent increase after three years. When the landlords sought this increase, a dispute arose, and the landlords filed an ejectment petition citing several grounds: personal need (to set up a hospital), default in rent payment, damage to property, subletting, and expiry of the lease term.
