Decision without properly hearing parties in an appeal
PLD 1970 Pesh. 169; Emperor · Lahore High Court
This 2003 Lahore High Court judgment dealt with a civil revision petition challenging how a District Judge had decided an appeal. Neither the appellant's lawyer was present or heard, nor was the respondent's lawyer able to properly argue the case. Despite this, the District Judge decided the appeal on its merits, apparently because a Member of the High Court's Inspection Team had directed that the appeal be decided by a certain date.
