evident from the affidavit of the petitioner that during the enquiry proceedings before the NAB, the petitioner was subjected to disrespectful and derogatory treatment by the Investigating Officer, including the alleged use of abusive language and threats, purportedly aimed at coercing the petitioner into providing self -incriminating or fal se statements against himself and other coaccused persons. 10. Anyhow, without commenting upon the genuinity of purported affidavit filed by the petitioner, if it is presumed that the same is a fact and not fictional, the same tantamount to violation of Article 14 of the Constitution, which guarantees dignity of man. The Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973 is the supreme law of the land. Every organ of the State, including all its functionaries, are bound to work within the four corners of the C onstitution and are under legal obligation to protect the citizen from any highhandedness or excesses committed by any State functionary. Since the Constitution guarantees protection of life, liberty, dignity, property, equality and equity to every citizen of Pakistan, therefore, Article 14 of the Constitution is the only guarantee, which is not subject to law but is an unqualified guarantee. This fundamental right of any citizen whenever violated and complained of, this Court must step in and investigate the m atter in its constitutional jurisdiction and pass such order, as may be found just, legal and equitable. 11.
