Haji Sultan Mehmood v Zohra Bibi,

CLC 2013 523 · Balochistan High Court

This case concerned a dispute among the legal heirs of a deceased man, Gul Hassan Sheikh, over money held in his bank accounts. The deceased had two wives and children from both marriages. One son, Haji Sultan Mehmood, obtained a succession certificate from a civil court in 2006, allowing him to collect funds from several bank accounts, after publishing a public notice that drew no objections at the time.

Years later, two daughters from the deceased's second marriage applied to have this certificate revoked, arguing they were entitled to a share of the money as legal heirs.
